How healthy is the water you are swimming in?
Miller swim school wants you to experience a fun and healthy environment while patronizing our business. The recent outbreaks of deadly algea on area lakes to the deaths a few years ago at a city splash pad, contaminated water is a huge concern and we have taken great precautions to maintain healthy water conditions.
Contaminated water can spread germs that can cause a variety of symptoms, including skin, eye, respiratory, and ear infections. While you can't see germs, you can recognize the difference between a healthy pool and a potentially risky one.
We test thoroughly so your children can swim safely.
Our chlorine and PH levels are monitored and recorded four times daily as required by the state health department. Out chlorine levels are maintained at 2.5 PPM and PH at 7.4. These proper ranges help maintain the chlorine's germ killing power while minimizing skin and eye irritation. Our filtering system exceeds health department requirements. We also replace approximately 3000 gallons of water per week that also helps reduce contaminants that are not removed in the treatment process.
Our cutting edge, state of the art UV system protects your children.
We have taken our water safety to an even higher level. Two years ago we installed a ultraviolet (UV) system. To our knowledge we are one of two facilities in the city of Tulsa and one of only a handful in the state that uses this system. UV disinfection process inactivates waterborne pathogens without chemicals. UV is very effective (99.99%) removal of microbiological bacteria: E-coli, Salamonela, Cholera, Tuberculosis, and the virus Influenza, Polio, and Hepatitus A. Cryptosporidium (Crypto) and Giardia, Pathogens that grow in unhealthy water are also eliminated.
We have one of the finest facilities in the country and we are serious about the steps we have taken to ensure a clean and healthy environment while you experience your swimming with us.
