Britta Laboyteaux

I love swimming over summer. I took lessons at Miller. I have teaching experience at an at-home therapist/tutor/nanny for children who have autism.
Graduated in ’09 from Union high school. I’m currently at TCC, transferring to NSU in fall for special ed degree. My favorite part of being part of the Miller Swim School are the friends I have made while working here and the closeness of the swim school family.
Something interesting about me? Star Wars fan and I love cats.
Jesse (Lee) Veldhuizen
Birthday: Nov 11th
I have been with Miller Swim School for about 2 years as an instructor, deck assistant and supervisor. I have been on the summer swim team for 5 years. I taught VBS at church and also taught at a soccer camp 2 years in a row.
My favorite part of being part of Miller Swim School is how the whole staff is like a family always joking around but still doing a good job!
I grew up in Texas on a dairy farm milking cows, milking cows, feeding calves and bailing hay. Another big part of my life growing up was the family business making cheese. If you ever want the best raw milk organic cheese the USA has to offer come to Dublin TX.
Ashley Robinson
Birthday: May 26th
I have taken swimming lessons with Miller since I was 4 years old. I then became a Lifeguard and now I am a Swim Instructor. I enjoy coming to work each day at a place where the staff have become like family.
I enjoy getting to do creative projects at work as well as teaching the Diaper Dolphin and Flippers classes. It is fun to see how far the students have come! I have taught Sunday School at St Bernard’s for 4th graders and I am an assistant youth director!

Chanel Johnson
Birthday: October 14th
Chanel has been an instructor here at miller for five years and is truly and asset to our teaching staff. She is very conscientious about the importance of teaching children water safety. She thouroughly enjoys teaching and is very good at building rapport with her students quickly.
Chanel grew up in and around the Tulsa area. She has a four year old daughter named Briley who is the joy of her life. She also enjoys riding four wheelers and dirt bikes.
Glynda Mcclure
Birthday: September 21st
Glynda has been teachin PADI scuba Diving since 2000
She loves getting to know the families that enroll at Miller Swim School. She love to see the smile on a childs face when they realize they can swim.
Glynda is married with a grown Son and Daughter and has two grandchildren, Dakata 17 and Rachel 7

Birthday: November 6th
I have been Swimming my whole life, competitive swimming started in 8th grade and went on through High School. I went to the State meet three years in a row and was co-captain of the swim team my senior year
I love the kids and all of my co-workers at Miller Swim School. They both make the job fun, my day days go by and put a smile on my face, many jobs can not do that.
Something interesting about me? My entire immediate family is left handed.
Pete Pruitt
Birthday: September 7th
I started swimming when I was just 18 months old. Since then I have coached swimming, football, wrestling, and basketball! I enjoy all thing sports. I have also spent time teaching High School.
I enjoy developing relationships with my students. It is fun to see how far they come throughout their time spent in the water. I also enjoy doing projects with Mr. Jim – painting, carpentry, etc. Most of all I really enjoy the variety of things I have the opportunity to participate in at Miller.
Something interesting about me? I am an amazing Ping Pong player.
Sarah (Kinnison) Clavin
Birthday: January 31st
I grew up at Miller Swim School. I have spent each summer decking, lifeguarding, and teaching and eventually supervising swim lessons. I have been a part of the swim school for as long as I can remember.
I love coming to work everyday knowing that I have the opportunity to participate in something I love. I take pride in what I do and I love nothing more than seeing a student succeed. You may find me in the water, on the deck or in an office on any given day. The staff at Miller Swim School are like family and I am blessed to have the opportunity to be part of this organization.

Sarah Owens
Birthday: August 14th
I have been swimming with Miller since I was 3 years old. In High School I swam the 500 Freestyle race at competitions. I love participating in any kind of outdoor activity, running, rock climbing, swimming, etc.
My favorite thing about working at Miller Swim School are the people. The teachers I work with are fabulous and I love getting to meet new students! I have been swimming my whole life and I really enjoy getting to teach children about something I love!

Terri Carnley
Birthday: June 2nd
I have been working for Miller Swim School my whole life. I decided to work here full time this past summer. I used to be a teacher for 32 years in Hominy, Oklahoma. I have three children, two boys and a girl, and I have 2 grandkids!
I love working for Miller because I love working with people. Each day is different and there are so many different jobs to do, the days never get boring.
Something you may not know about me: I was an OSU cheerleader and I could still do a backflip at the age of 50!
Cassidy Martinson
Birthday: December 12th
I started working for Miller this summer. Prior to teaching swimming lessons I had been a lifeguard for two years. I also grew up on Fort Gibson Lake – I love boating, tubing, and wake boarding!
My favorite thing about working at Miller is seeing my students happy and safe.
Something you may not know about me: I have a son named Hagen.
Cherish Masters
Birthday: October 29th
When I was in high school, I swam on the swim team for Edison. And now I have been working at Miller, teaching swimming lessons, for 6 months. My favorite thing about working at Miller is teaching children and watching their skills improve. I also love the fact that teaching swimming is teaching children a life saving skill. Each student I have is a life saved.
When I was younger I lived in France with my mom. In my spare time I study theater and I am performing in local plays.
Something interesting about me: I speak fluent French.
Timothy Anderson
Birthday: November 16th
As a kid I used to love surfing and was a lifeguard during the summer time. I love working around the water. I have been at Miller since this past summer. My favorite thing about teaching is working with kids and watching them learn new skills.
I am a student at VBI and am also a musician. My parents are missionaries so Ive grown up working with kids.
Something you may not know about me: I lived in Mexico and I speak fluent Spanish.
Bethany Gonzalez
Birthday: June 25th
I am originally from Texas but I am currently a student at ORU. I am set to graduate December 2012. I have worked for Miller since the summer. I was on the City Swim Team during middle school and high school, and I even swam for ORU!
I love working at Miller. The things I love the most are the different personalities of my students. Kids really do say the funniest things and some of my students have the best stories to tell!
Something you may not know about me: I love to bake and someday I want to open my own bakery!
Dustin Garrard
Birthday: Same day every year
I have been working at Miller for quite a long time now. I recently graduated from Spartan Academy of Aeronautics, where I achieved my pilot’s license. I am 5ft and inches tall with blue eyes and brown hair and can often be spotted wearing superhero swim trunks.
My favorite thing about working at Miller is the people. I love the staff and the families that come here.
Something interesting about me: I have been wearing the same shoes for over 10 years.

Leigh-Anne Horton
Birthday: January 27th
I was born in Connecticut and moved to Tulsa in 1980. I have two daughters, Ashley (20) and Paige (15). I have been with Miller Swim School for 8 years an din those years I have gained love and respect for the water.
I love working at Miller because it is truly a family environment. I love working for a company that values family, so much so that the customers have become like extended family to us!
Something you may not know about me: I could not swim when I started working at Miller, and now I teach water fitness classes!
Marc Watkins
Birthday: November 3
I am a native Tulsan. I have two dogs and I enjoy gardening.
I started taking lessons as an infant here at Miller and since I have swam and snorkeled at many tropical locations.
I love the opportunity to work in a family oriented environment that teaches both adults and children a skill that can save their lives and provide a lifetime of entertainment.
Something you may not know about me: My future goal is to dive the Great Barrier Reef and become a Certified Scuba Diver.

Birthday: August 4th
Growing up, I was an airforce brat, so I moved around the country quite a bit. I finally settled in Broken Arrow 33 years ago and have loved living in Oklahoma.
I started swimming when I was young and have since branched out to snorkeling and scuba diving.
I love working at Miller because I believe that swimming is a life skill and I am so proud to be affecting the lives of so many children.
Something you may not know about me: I have 4 dogs, 2 cats, 2 kids, and a husband!

I was born and raised in Sacramento, California. But now I live in Tulsa because I am currently attending ORU. In High School I swam on the swim team, and I also was a lifeguard and swim instructor for over 5 years!
I love working at Miller because of the staff. I also think that the structure of the curriculum really suits the students and has their progress and best interest at mind.
